She’s boycotting naps
June 19, 2007I’m sitting here ignoring Widget’s hollering at me to get her out of her crib. She seems to think she no longer needs naps. However, when she doesn’t sleep, she is Miss WhinyPants all afternoon.
She isn’t crying, just periodically shouting “Mama, I want out. No nap. Never ever anymore!” I keep hoping if I ignore her, she will give in and fall asleep.
I’m not ready for her to give up naps.
Hmm. You do that, too? I was starting to think I was a terrible mother because I literally have to force my child, screaming and hollering, to nap some days.
You’d think she was really missing something while I’m tippy-toeing around the living room trying to be quiet so as not to wake her up.
UUGH.
Thankfully Snuggle Bug still takes his afternoon nap. He may protest a bit, but he usually always falls asleep.
